Both babies are sleeping!

Miraculously, both babies are napping at the same time, so I'm gonna try to catch up on some blogging. I may not make it through this post, but I'll try.

Today is my first day with no mom. Since Eli was born, I have had either Joel's mom or my mom here to help out, but my mom left yesterday afternoon. So far, we are doing good. Kailey, Eli and I met Joel and Jelani for lunch at Chic Fil A so that Kailey could play at the play area.

Here are a couple of pictures of Eli's first sponge bath, and first regular bath. Obviously not his favorite thing to do.

We had to put Eli out in the sun because he had a little jaundice.

Like Kailey and his mom, he furrows his brow when he is angry or upset : ) I keep worrying that he is going to develop colic like Kailey, but so far he is still a pretty good baby. We have had a couple of rough days with some serious crying, but thank goodness, it didn't continue.

Eli's first outing was a trip to the park on last Sunday. Kailey desperately needed to get out of the house. This is her and her Mimi at the park.

We had a Bass Pro Shop Valentine's Day, but I didn't get any pictures. I left my camera at home :( My dad came to visit, and if you don't know my dad, he loves fishing (that is an understatement). He has 25 years of journals on fishing and is currently the reigning Concordia Bass Club Angler of the year. So all of the Bonnettes and Hamiltons went with him to Bass Pro. The girls loved it. There is an indoor pond and aquarium, and stuffed animals, real ones, not teddy bears :), everywhere. If you haven't been to the Bass Pro Shop, even if you are not a fisherman, it's worth at least one trip to check it out.

The girls did some finger painting while Jamie and Joe went to the doctor for their sonogram. If you haven't heard, they are having another girl!

Kailey stole her Mimi's reading glasses during bedtime reading time.

I MADE IT! I'm finished and they are still sleeping!! I can't believe that I actually finished this long post without an interruption from Kailey or Eli.

  1. Sounds like you're doing well with "two kids" arrangement:) Not ready to join that crowd yet, but love seeing other people do it! Keep putting up pictures of that super-cute little dude (and his sister:)

  3. I'm so impressed with your updates! If you can just keep the 2 of them on the same nap schedule it makes it all worth it! Kaiden and Kal usually take their naps at the same time and its just wonderful to have that quiet time. Eli is so handsome and you looked great at church! And yea for you getting out of the house (I always get cabin fever with a new baby). Keep posting when you can!

  5. I'm glad to hear that you are adjusting to life with two cherubs so well. Eli is a beautiful little boy. Oh, and you can trust my opinion, because if I thought he was ugly, I just wouldn't comment :)
Oh, and is a BPS V.day just a trip to the shop or what?

  7. I'm glad to see your doing well. Since Allison and I are quarantined to the house with bronchitis, I've been wondering how things are going over there. Hopefully we'll be better soon and be able to come over and play.

  9. Whoa- you should get some kind of a prize for pulling off that trick! Looks like you're doing great. Good for you for getting out and about. I wish I would have known to do that with Peyton- I went stir crazy for a month before I broke down and got out (it also didn't help that we had ONE car at the time and I had to take Troy to work anytime I wanted to go anywhere). Keep the pictures coming!
