Eli is one!

Eli turned one on the 1st. Here are a few pictures.

I made shark cupcakes using my Hello Cupcake book that Jamie gave me for Christmas. I can't take full credit for these though; I had lots of help from Joel's mom, Mavanie, Brandon, Amilyn, and Wendy. Thanks guys!

Eli's face in this picture cracks me up. As you can see, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of opening gifts, so Allison, Kailey and I helped him out.

  4. Happy Birthday to Eli! Holly- You did an awesome job on those cupcakes! I need to buy that book. My birthday is Feb. 18th and I love yellow cake w/ chocolate icing. You know, in case you want to try out another idea!

  5. Jennie, thanks, yellow cake with chocolate icing sounds really yummy.

Jessie, the sharks are carved twinkies with a half of a vanilla wafer as a fin, and they are dipped in microwaved vanilla icing. Surprisingly all cupcakes were 100% edible (except the paper ofcourse).

  6. Guys, the cupcakes weren't just adorable; they tasted really good, too! I can't believe Eli is one already, either. It really does seem like yesterday that we were over at Courtney's apartment and you unexpectedly jumped right into active labor.
