Veteran's Day & Unsolved Mysteries

Happy Veteran's Day. Aren't you grateful to live in this country and enjoy the freedoms of this country? I know that I am. I am afraid that I take it for granted. I am grateful that my life has not really been touched by war, despite the possibilities in my lifetime. My grandfather served in the military, he served in the Korean War; and I have an uncle that served for about 20 years in the military.

The other day, I came across a show that I hadn't seen in a while, Unsolved Mysteries. I used to watch this show with papaw. It used to scare me then, and it scared me this time, too. I don't know if you have picked up on this or not, but Jamie and I both have this problem, we are scaredy cats and we watch shows that scare us despite that. Jamie had a post about watching the show "A Haunting," if you need a refresher, you can read it here. So I had the same problem with the Haunting show, and the other day I got sucked in by Unsolved Mysteries. That night, I had bad dreams about crazy ghosts and glowing luminol (stuff that they spray on surfaces to detect blood) on the walls. I have got to stay away from these shows even though I like them so much. I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment.

  4. Ok, I love to watch scary movies, but they keep me up. However, I ALWAYS make Josh turn the channel when unsolved mysteries comes on. I don't know what it is about that show, but I can't watch it. I guess cuz the stuff is actually real and not some cheesey scary movie
